Online Training

Envirowise has developed a series of free online computer based training modules to enable Welsh SMEs (between 2 and 249 employees) gain an insight and understanding into resource efficiency.

The online training tool is directly related to the Resource Efficiency Advice and Support Project (part of the Envirowise Wales programme).  This project ends on the 31^st March 2011, and thus to ensure that you receive a certificate of completion for the training, you will need to complete individual stages before on or before the 30^th March 2011.

The Introductory Certificate to Resource Efficiency

This certificate focuses on providing you with a basic understanding of resource efficiency within your company, and is aimed at everyone in an organisation, regardless of job title or responsibilities. This Certificate will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete and you will receive a certificate to acknowledge your completion of this section.

Modules include:

* An Introduction to Resource Efficiency

* Benefits of Resource Efficiency

* An Introduction to Environmental Management Systems and Processes

* Top Tips to Make Quick Wins

* An Introduction to Environmental Management Systems and Processes

The Certificate to Resource Efficiency

The second stage, again aimed at everyone in an organisation, regardless of job title or responsibilities, will give you a more in-depth understanding of Resource Efficiency. It will also empower the user to gain confidence to make changes, gain knowledge of how to achieve buy in from their peers and embed behaviour change within their company. This Certificate will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete and you will receive a certificate to acknowledge your completion of this section.

Modules included are:

* Introduction to basic environmental legislation - WEEE, Rhos, etc

* Behaviour Change in your organisation

* Packaging

* Environmental Systems and Processes Stage 2
